Acceptable Usage Policy

This Acceptable Usage Policy (“AUP”) governs your use of HubforHost services and supplements our Terms of Service.

Prohibited Activities

You may not use our services for:

Content Restrictions:
– Illegal content under Indian law or laws of other jurisdictions
– Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or content exploiting minors
– Content promoting terrorism, violence, or hate speech
– Phishing, fraud, or identity theft activities
– Content that violates intellectual property rights
– Defamatory, harassing, or threatening content

Technical Abuse:
– Spam or unsolicited bulk email
– Open mail relays or proxy servers
– Network attacks, port scanning, or penetration testing without permission
– Malware, viruses, or malicious code distribution
– Cryptocurrency mining operations
– Excessive resource usage affecting other users
– Running scripts that interfere with server operations

Service Abuse:
– Reselling services without authorization
– Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions
– Using services to store or distribute pirated/nulled software
– Operating Tor exit nodes or anonymous proxy services
– Activities that violate upstream provider policies

Resource Limits

Hosting Accounts:
– CPU and memory usage limits apply per hosting plan
– I/O operations are monitored and may be throttled
– Inode limits prevent excessive file creation
– Database size and query limits apply

Email Usage:
– Daily sending limits: [specific limits per plan]
– Hourly sending limits: [specific limits per plan]
– Bounce rate monitoring and automatic suspension for high bounce rates
– SPF, DKIM, and DMARC compliance required for bulk sending

Enforcement

Monitoring and Detection:
– We monitor services for abuse and security threats
– Automated systems may suspend accounts exceeding limits
– We cooperate with law enforcement and abuse reports

Violations and Consequences:
– First violation: Warning and requirement to remedy
– Repeat violations: Account suspension or termination
– Severe violations: Immediate suspension without notice
– No refunds for violations of this AUP

Appeals Process:
– Contact hello@hubforhost.com to appeal suspension
– Provide explanation and remediation plan
– Appeals reviewed within 28 days

This AUP is effective from 21st December 2020. and supersedes previous versions.
